For what seems like an age, the much loved North Entrance Hall fire has been out of commission. As part of the Masterplan the chimney needed to be re-lined, so the fire could not be lit at all.
Front of House staff bravely endured a somewhat chilly winter, remaining cheerful as the front doors opened and exposed them to the cold winter winds.
Now finally, this task has been completed and the welcoming Chatsworth fire will once more be warming visitors (and staff!) as they enter the building. Let’s just hope we don’t need to light it much until the winter!
